Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos yesterday conceded authorization to the previous governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose for a therapeutic trek abroad.
This pursued his re-arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an 11 count charge verging on connivance and tax evasion adding up to N2.2 billion. Governing on Fayose's application, Justice Aneke allowed him consent to make a trip to South Africa for therapeutic treatment, requesting him to restore his movement reports to the court at the very latest September 16, 2019.
Fayose, be that as it may, argued not liable to the charges and was allowed bail on similar terms and conditions prior conceded by the previous preliminary judge, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun. Justice Aneke from that point dismissed the issue to September 16-19, September 21, 2019, and October 25, 2019, for preliminary.
